The 25 Keys to Dreaming Big

By David Finkel Dream no small dreams for they have no power to move the hearts of men. --Goethe Everything happens because of a dream. If youre not living your dream, youre living someone elses dream. Look at a normal life for the average person today. You get up earlier than you really want to because the alarm goes off. Rush through a work-out (or wish you had time for one) and go to a job that occupies most of your working time. The dreams of your childhood are long past. Now, it's about working, providing for a family, and maybe, someday, you'll have some time for you. If youre working for someone else, chances are youre working on someone elses dream. Now heres the amazing part. The owner of the company might never have purposely chosen the course of his business, so its not even his dream. His mother always had the dream that someday her son would own his own business or his high school math teacher told him he was gifted in math and needed to do something in that field. He might have married someone his family told him he should marry (through spoken or unspoken comments and actions), lived in a city and neighborhood where someone else thought he should live and work. It's a life of chance and passive coincidence. No wonder we go through midlife crises! Its our subconscious waking up and saying, Hey wait a minute! What happened to those great dreams we had once upon a time? Some people decide to start their own business in hopes that this is the way to personal freedom. The entrepreneurial spasm lasts long enough to quit a job and start working for their own business. But, for most people, they run their own business exactly the way they used to work a job. The difference is that instead of just one boss, they now have a whole lot of bosses to keep happy. We call them customers or clients. The business owner still has no control and still isnt following her deepest, most precious dreams. Ask yourself: If you have your own business, is it run exactly the way you want it to? If you work for someone else, are you living your highest purpose? Are you achieving what you wanted in your life right now? A big part to being a Maui Millionaire is purposely choosing the life you want to lead. Then its a matter of setting the game up so you get exactly what you want. If you dont choose where youre going, youll never get there. The dream is the beginning. Its the seed and spark that grows into a life of abundance and wealth. Rediscover Your Dreams As a child, we had dreams. They were in the language of children because we were children. Then we put aside many of those childish dreams and grew up. Of course, growing up meant that we followed what the adults around us said being a grown up was. We gave up on the big dreams. Instead, we started substituting goals for dreams. If you were raised in a typical American household, those goals had to do with success and money. They focused on the outer achievements, not on inner values and dreams. It's pretty ironic that with the primary focus on those kind of achievements, more and more people find their wealth slipping away. Could it be that there is something fundamentally off with how the average person thinks about the future? Of course! And in this section of the book you'll learn how to tap back into your real passion and purpose in life as you clarify your big dreams. The big dreams of a Maui Millionaire are not always brand new dreams. Youre not reinventing dreams. Youre rediscovering the dreams of your childhood. Now, though, youre doing it with the years of experience and education that allow you to use the language of adults, with the heart and faith of a child. Dream No Small Dreams If youre committed to going out there and pursuing a dream, make sure the dream is worthy of your time and attention. Seek the game worth playing. If your current life doesnt have a dream big enough to risk the game, then find one that does. Find a dream so juicy, so appealing, and so powerful that it compels you to work to reach it. It calls to you, sings to you, sinks its hooks into you and won't let you go. Whats a dream that is so powerful that you will live part of your life for it? In the next few chapters, we're going to look at how to rediscover the dreams you've had and then supersize them in Maui fashion to create something even bigger and bolder. We believe that you were born to do something great, and now it's time to rediscover exactly what that greatness is! Dream Big! Corporations pay thousands of dollars to work on articulating their company vision. The corporate vision generally isnt just about making money. It's about the deeper reasons why the business exists and the powerful passions that fuel the organization. The same is true for us. You have a personal vision as well. Sadly most of us dont bother to take the time and energy necessary to articulate our own vision -- the dreams that make everything we do worthwhile. Without a dream to pursue, our spirit wilts and our soul shrinks. Your big dream is your personal vision that taps into the passion you have in your life. Passion is the energy of your heart. It drives you to perform at the highest possible level. It gives you the fuel to keep going when others around you quit. Passion dares you to ask more, to do more, to be more. Passion allows you to make mistakes, get knocked down, and get up for another round. Passion is the limitless energy that allows you to achieve extraordinary results. It's the juice that makes life so sweet. What is so important to you that you would invest part of your life going after it without any direct reward or compensation, just because you felt so powerfully moved by that dream? Thats a first step in determining the dreams that arent just merely financial. If your most compelling desire right now is to create a certain amount of money or passive cash flow, ask yourself -- why? Imagine you have all the money and financial success youve ever wanted, then what? When you achieve that level of wealth, what are you going to do with the money? Who is the person you dream of being? Thats how you can tap into the most compelling aspect to those dreams. Three Ways to Re-Discover Your Dreams Sometimes finding out what our dreams actually are can be the hardest part. Here are some ideas to jump start the process. Technique One: Do a dream download. Consider who would you love to be . . . what would you love to do . . . to have. Thats your passion. Think about what you are good at. Thats your talent. Reflect on whats most important to you. Those are your values. Now, what were you born to do? Thats your destiny. Take a blank piece of paper and put it in front of you. Set a timer or ask someone to time you for 10 minutes. Pick up a pen (not a pencil!) and write. You might make a list of dreams. Or you might describe your dream life. Or, perhaps you just answer the questions above. Whatever it is, keep writing. Don't stop until the timer stops. Technique Two: Make a dream collage. Assemble a stack of magazines, blank poster board, a glue stick and a pair of scissors. Cut out pictures and create a poster of your dream life. Include pictures of whatever speaks to you. Supersize your dream collage. Get a few friends together and each work on the project individually. Each person will create a collage of his or her life today on one side of the poster board. Assemble a dream collage on the other side of the poster board that will show your life five years from now. Technique Three: Talk to your friends. Chances are your friends, family and business colleagues know things about you that you dont even know. We tend to look at ourselves through the eyes of others who have been critical of things weve done. Have you ever noticed how you remember the one bad comment you got about something you did and cant for the life of you remember the dozen good comments you received? Were conditioned to look for the fault in ourselves. That helps us find the things we need to improve on, but it also means that we overlook the things we do well. Spend a lifetime working on your faults and youll live a lifetime being mediocre. Instead look for those things that you have a talent for and that you are passionate about. Chances are the things you do well will unlock the secret of your dreams. How can you find out what those dreams are? Your friends might hold the answer -- ask them. Send them a letter or e-mail and ask for their help. David Finkel is one of the nation's most respected wealth masters. The Summer: Great Career Enhancers

By George F Franks III People think of summer as a time to leave work early, take vacations, visit the beach and read a good book. Summer is good for all those things. But it is also the perfect time of the year for evaluating your professional life and addressing areas in need of personal development. Evaluate The first and most important step is to evaluate where you are versus your career and professional goals. Are you on track? Falling behind? Ahead of your peers? These apply not just to titles and compensation but also experiences and responsibilities. Where to you see yourself in a year? Five years? Are you on track to meet those career goals? If not, identify, as specifically as possible, the gaps and what steps you must take to address the gaps. Education Education, whether a college degree, an advanced degree or a professional certification is one of the most common gaps identified during the evaluation process. Young professionals and junior executives are often too busy and put off taking on additional coursework. This is a huge mistake. If it is not done early in the career it is never done. And bosses and more senior executives not only are forgiving when the educational work is taken on by workers early in their careers, they often cut them some slack in terms of their day-to-day workload to off-set it. Find a program, register for it and start in September. If too late for September, register for the winter program. Skills Everyone has skill gaps. Whether it is technology, writing, public speaking or analytics and financials, evaluate your specific areas of skill deficit. Summer is an excellent time to take classes, do reading or on-line work to fill in those skill deficits. Summer is also a good time to practice your newly enhanced skills at the workplace. Reading Professional journals and books abound. Find those that are most directly related to not only where you are today but where you want to be professionally in five to ten years. Read all you can at the professional and technical level. White papers on professional topics are always good to have in your arsenal of knowledge for meetings too. Find out what the movers and shakers who are above you in the organization are reading. Read those books and journal and then read others in addition to those. Networking One of the biggest mistakes that employees of corporations and large organizations make is failing to network OUTSIDE of their company or organization. During the summer, make the time to find the top professional organizations in you field and geographic area. Many are less active in the summer but still look for new members. Talk to colleagues and also search on-line. Belonging to one or two top local professional organizations is a smart move by establishing yourself outside of your company or organization in additional to expanding your professional knowledge. Mentor Everyone needs a mentor. Whether you are in the mail room or the CEO's office. Find someone inside your company or organization who has more experience and is at least two levels above you (if you are the CEO, you already have mentors). Ideally the personal should work for the same company or organization although they may be in the same field or profession and work elsewhere. Summer is an excellent time to find and establish a mentor relationship. Be candid about your goals and objectives and what you are looking for from your mentor. Experience, candor and chemistry are crucial for the relationship to be productive. Special Projects Most businesses and organization have too much work and too few people due to vacations during the summer. It is an excellent time to volunteer for additional work outside of your area of expertise. The goal is to gain additional professional experience and exposure to more executives and other contacts. Business planning, new marketing plans or new product launches are all terrific opportunities for meeting these goals. But remember that special projects are almost always in additional to rather than in place or the normal day-to-day responsibilities and workload. While other co-workers are relaxing on the beach or fishing at the lake, you can more effectively prepare for where you want to be in five years. Effectively use the opportunities provided by the different pace of the workplace during the summer to your professional advantage. George F. If You Can't Answer This Question Your Business is Doomed!

By Stephanie Ward How do you answer the seemingly easy question, What do you
do? Do you talk about YOU? Do you talk about your
products/services? Do you talk about your industry?
Do you explain the process of how your products/services
work? If you answered yes to any of these questions you
are missing an enormous opportunity. Every time someone asks you What do you do? and
every time someone reads your marketing materials you
have the opportunity to: * Interest potential clients
* Increase the potential for referrals
* Find out about potential strategic alliances
* Create recognition for yourself and your business
* Position yourself as an expert Stop right now and take the time to discover how to answer
the question, What do you do? in a profitable way. The bottom line is that in general, people are not really
that interested in you and what you do (you may have heard
this before, start believing it!) What they really want to
know is what you can do for them. All of the communication
about what you do must focus on the benefits of your
products/services, not the features. Focus on how your
products/services benefit the people who use them and the
results they can expect. Think about the last time you met someone and they told you
what they do. Do you remember what they told you? If so,
would you be able to clearly explain it to someone else?
Your goal is that the people who hear or read your marketing
messages remember what you do AND are able to tell someone
else. The first step to answering the question, What do you do
is to define your ideal client. The more specific you are,
the more success you will have in building your business
quickly and positioning yourself as an expert. The next step
is to define what do you do for your clients. How you benefit
them. When you are clear about these two things, and you can
easily communicate what you do, you will feel more confident
talking about your business. People you talk with will easily
see exactly how you can help them and hopefully remember what
you do! Here are some examples to get you started (as you can see,
you dont necessarily need to mention your profession!): - I work with professional women who want high returns on
their investments (Financial Planner) - I create delicious, healthy meals for busy executives that
have no time to cook. (Personal Chef) - I help busy doctors find more time to spend with their
families (Life Coach) - I rescue stressed out business owners when their computers
crash (Computer Technician) - I help stay-at-home moms feel pampered and relaxed
(Massage Therapist) Try out this formula: I work with (your niche or ideal clients)
who are having trouble with (problems your ideal clients face)
and who want (what they want to see happen, the result). Another way to explain what you do is to relate it to a known
situation, a common experience. So when someone asks you what
you do you can say, Well you probably know how busy doctors
are, what I do is I help them spend more time with their
families. Or, You know how stay-at-home moms are always
taking care of everyone else, well what I do is make THEM feel
taken care of. You will know you are on the right track when the next
question you are asked after you say what you do is:
How do you do that? Dont wait another minute. Get started now, grab a piece
of paper and write down what you do and then practice saying
it. You can test it out on friends and colleagues to refine
and improve it. Then start using it everywhere (with people,
on your website, on your business card) and you will see and
feel the difference this makes in attracting more clients! (c) 2005 Stephanie Ward WANT TO USE THIS ARTICLE IN YOUR NEWSLETTER OR WEB SITE?

Relationships: Minding Your Manners

By Michelle Vasquez Where have all the manners gone? Im amazed at how being polite seems to be a vanishing art. Recently, Ive seen articles online about how Americans are less well-mannered than we used to be. Taken as a whole, if Americans are less polite, this is affecting every area of society. Where I see it doing the most damage is in relationships. When we first meet a potential mate, we put on our dating face. We show our best side and we mind our manners. After all, we want to make a good impression on the person we are interested in. We want our date to think well of us. As we get to know each other, we begin to get comfortable. Sometimes too comfortable. We begin to let it all hang out. We start showing our sloppy habits or even begin acting in a way that could be obnoxious. We begin to expect our chosen one to accept us as we are. If we develop a committed relationship, we may even stop minding our manners at all, then blame our partners when they call us on the carpet, saying, You knew I was this way when you met me. When people choose to marry, they say they will cherish each other. They promise to love and respect each other. They agree to hold their partnership as valuable. Yet, soon after (or maybe even before they marry) they begin to treat their partners with contempt, disrespect, even with cruelty. Sometimes they even treat strangers better than the one they chose to love. Strange What happened here? Is this a foregone conclusion? Is that just the way it is? Not necessarily, but it can be. Its understandable that we relax when we become comfortable with another person. It doesnt mean we have to relax our manners. I dont mean being stiff and formal with our chosen partner. But its important to keep up the good habits that we used to win our partner. Nothing is just the way it is that you didnt choose to make that way. To say, Thats just the way I am is the same as admitting that you refuse to accept responsibility for your behavior. When you treat your partner with contempt, you are acting contemptibly. When you disrespect your partner, you are disrespecting yourself. Think about the way you acted when you were first getting to know the person you are with. How did you act then? What things did you do to endear yourself to that person? How did you talk to him/her? What have you stopped doing that was helpful? What can you start doing again that will bring back the respect to your relationship? Remember, you have the power to choose more helpful behaviors. When your elders told you to mind your Ps and Qs, maybe they knew what they were talking about! 12 Keys To Keep Love Alive In Marriage

By Rebecca Osborn Weather you are 3 months married or 3 years married, the busyness of life and the stresses of work can take their toll on your relationship. Everyday hundreds of people file for divorce. Why? One reason is that their marriage has became dull, boring and routine. This articles contains simple things that will reignite the spark that has disappeared from your relationship. 1. Firstly, you have to make your marriage your priority. Make a decision with your spouse to sit down and review this list of practical ideas for making your marriage great. Add anything that you think will work for you both that I have omitted. 2. Keep in touch. Check in on each other during the day. Even it you happen to work in the same building, it is always nice to get a text or email saying 'You are still as beautiful as ever,' or 'You still give me butterflies.' Sometimes it is nice to know that your wife or husband is thinking about you. 3. Do the unexpected. Surprise your spouse with flowers, a gift, or a night out on the town with no alternative agenda and expecting nothing in return. Planning something special is an excellent way to infuse romance into your relationship. Sometimes even the smallest surprises can feel like the biggest. 4. Talk about your personal goals. Sit down together and talk about what you want out of life, what you want o achieve as a couple and personally. Write these down. Review them and modify them every few months. This makes you aware of what your spouse wants and their goals. 5. Develop and nurture friendships. Have friendships outside of each other. Do not become an exclusive couple that never do anything with anyone else! We all need friendships to develop and grow us. 6. Do not criticise. Do not put down or criticise your spouse in front of other people. Instead, decide that you will both commit to build up and support each other when talking to other people. 7. Keep yourself in good physical shape. This may not seem important to you, but I am sure it is important to your spouse! Keeping yourself healthy not only will decrease the risks of diabetes and heart problems, but also help to keep the attraction alive between both of you. You do not have to spend alot on a gym membership, you can go walking or jogging together each evening. 8. Plan weekend getaways. At least once a year plan to go away for a weekend. Team up with another married couple and they can babysit your children while you are away and then you can return the favor. It does not have to be an expensive weekend but it is vital that you get this time alone to spend with each other. 9. Do not let the sun go down on your anger. NEVER go to bed harboring offence or hurt with your spouse that you have not already discussed. If you were disappointed, hurt or upset with their behaviour, discuss it. Do not enter into an argument but talk openly about what it was that bothered you and why. 10. Be quick to forgive and quick to say sorry. Bitterness and offence is like cancer. If left alone it gradually keeps growing and growing until it takes over. Do not let bitterness or offence at your spouse take over the love you once had. Talk things through. If you need to seek outside help like counselling, do so. 11. Compliment your spouse. Take time to notice everyday things that your spouse does like preparing a meal, cleaning the house, doing the shopping. This shows your spouse that you appreciate them and the things that they do and you do not take for granted the effort they put into it. 12. Be there. Sometimes all your spouse needs is someone to be there, not to shout, order or demand, but to love and support. If they are having a difficult day, respect that and give them space if needed. The Money Making Secret of "The Toll Booth Position"

By Dan Kennedy Im a marketing consultant and at one of my client-companies, a company that, in less than 10 years, has gone from a $10 million to a $100 million dollar business one of the people I work with frequently has jokingly given herself the title, 'Vice President, Back-End.'
Although that clearly opens her up to be the butt of many jokes, it does very accurately describe her very, very important area of responsibility, in direct marketing parlance. At least 80% of the companys profitability depends on her contributions.
If the term "back-end" is new to you, it means everything you sell your customers after their initial purchase (that first order is called the "front-end"). For instance, lets say you sell instructional video tapes to golfers on how to play better. You advertise in golf magazines and your lead product is a $25 video on putting strategies. Thats your "front-end" because thats what people buy first. But then once people purchase that first video, you send them a catalog offering them over 50 other golf videos ranging in price from $50 to $99. Those follow-on videos are your "back-end."
In many businesses, there is a relatively brief period of time during which there are significant, exciting profits on the front-end, that is the very first sale to a customer.
But that happy situation dissolves over time, as you "cream" the market. And, as you go deeper and deeper into a market, the cost of making the first sale (acquiring a customer) goes up and up. For instance, in the above example of the golf videos the first time you run a magazine ad you might pull 100 orders. But if you keep running it every month, your order volume will probably drop off steadily. Within six months, youd be lucky to be selling 30 videos from the same ad in the same magazine. As some point, it gets so high it is no longer practical to advertise and sell that product to that market.
Nothing is forever. This fact of life is what mandates being smart about making all the money that you can from the back-end.
The good news is that your satisfied customers are probably willing to buy other things from you -- and they dont even have to be your own products/services. You can make deals with other companies to offer their products/services to your customers in exchange for a piece of the action.
For instance, lets go back to our example of the golf video company. You might do a "joint venture" with a manufacturer of special golf clubs which sell for $1,500 a set. Youll mail a letter to your customers telling them how well these clubs will improve their golf game and youll get $750 on each order placed. If your customers trust you, theyll be much more likely to respond to your letter than they would be if the golf club manufacturer mailed to them directly.
Of course you only want to recommend high-quality products and services which will be of value to your customers. But you get the idea. You could make similar deals with other companies who sell what golfers want -- golf apparel, golf trip and excursion operators, even custom home builders who sell houses near golf courses. Theyd all happily pay you a 'toll' commission to sell their wares to your customers.
No matter what your business, one of the most valuable assets you have is a list of satisfied customer, predisposed to buy from you again. When you control a sizable list of customers who bought from you, know your name/business name, are happy with what they bought and with the ensuing relationship ... and are pre-disposed to read your mail and buy from you again, its like owning your own "toll booth."
A pioneer of direct marketing, Harvey Brody, taught me the power and value of getting into "The Toll Booth Position" and Ive been teaching it for years. Imagine owning your own toll booth on the highway near your city. Anybody who wants to get to the other side of that toll booth has to pass through its gates and pay you money.
As the controller of a responsive customer list, thats exactly where you are; sitting there in your own toll booth and anybody who wants to get their appropriate product or service to those customers you control, has to pay you money.
You can collect a toll through joint ventures, as described above wherein you do an endorsed mailing to your customers and get a piece of all sales that result.
Or, if you build a list of 50,000 or more, through outright lists rentals. I have a number of clients who pay all their overhead expenses every year just with the checks they get from the list broker representing their list to others.
I have often paid others to pass through their toll booths --- and done so cheerfully. I have also been paid by others eager to get through my toll booth, to my customers, with my endorsement.
In the direct marketing business, its a well-known fact that most of the profits is derived from back-end sales to existing customers. Yet outside that business, I rarely encounter a company which comes anywhere close to tapping the potential of establishing their own "toll booth position." Get started building yours right now and start charging others to go down your road. Spring Cooking Season is Here!

By David S As the weather gets warmer on the east coast, more and more people are drawn to the outdoors to enjoy some warm weather cooking. Gone are the soups, and replaced are the stews. Steak grilling? Chili Cooking? Absolutely! Listed below are some of our favorite recipe dishes as we prepare for the warm months. Barbecued Pot Roast INGREDIENTS:
1 beef pot roast, 4 to 5 pounds
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
cayenne and cumin
1 cup water
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
2 cups sliced onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Go ahead and brown the meat either on a grill or in an oven. Add some cayenne and cumin for that added dash of what the hell is that?. Now add the tomato sauce, water. onion, and minced garlic. Cover and simmer for roughly 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Add the remaining ingredients, cover, and continue cooking for 1 1/2 hours longer, or until roast is tender.
Check the recipe every now and then, and add additional water if necessary. Take out the meat and remove excess fat. The recipe serves 5-7. Beef and Pineapple Shish Ka Bobs Otherwise known as sirloin beef kabobs with pineapple
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons ginger
3/4 cup oil
1 green onion, chopped
2 1/2 pounds boneless beef top sirloin, cubed 1-inch
1 (8oz) can pineapple tidbits, drained
3 red bell pepper, cut in 1-inch chunks
2 jalapenos
2 red onions, cut in 1-inch wedges
8 long metal skewers PREPARATION:
In a large plastic food bag, combine the soy sauce, honey, vinegar, ginger, garlic powder, oil, and green onion. Add sirloin cubes and marinate several hours or overnight. This is the most important step. Whenever you marinate over night, make sure you do NOT leave the marinate uncovered. Sometimes marinades will pick up other smells from food around the bowl, so be aware of that.
Drain the meat when ready and skewer the beef, pineapple and vegetables. Grill over a fire or a barbeque for 16 to 18 minutes.

Instant Approval of Personal Loans - Whether Justified or Not

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=James_Taylor]James Taylor After rate of interest, if there is any thing that most people desire for in a personal loan, then it is instant approval. Instant approval of personal loans has different connotations for different people. While for some people, instant approval signifies approval within a day of application; for others, instant approval of personal loans indicates approval within the time promised. This article deals solely with the latter connotation of instant approvals. At the time of application, many lenders would promise a time frame within which the loan will be approved. Nevertheless, the number of lenders who stick to this time frame is very less. Approval is a multi-step process, and depending on the time that the lender takes to accomplish each step, the process will be timed. A majority of the steps are justified and are there in order to reveal the credibility of the borrower. Since a large amount of money is involved, [http://www.chanceforloans.co.uk/secured_personal_loans.html]
Instant approval personal loans cannot be given without conducting proper verifications and checks. The principal verifications that needs to be performed in a personal loans are as follows: Income verification is conducted by demanding the past two W-2 forms. In addition, the last 30 days pay stubs are to be presented to the lender. Self-employed people are required to present the last two years federal tax returns and the profit and loss statement for the last year.
Assets are verified through two months statements.
The borrower will also have to give a declaration that he does not owe anything and that all financial obligations have been made on time. In the absence of such verifications or when the loan provider intentionally omits any of these vital processes, the lender is exposing itself to a greater degree of risk. The lender has a rightful demand thus to charge a higher rate of interest. This is what happens in bridging loans where loan is granted in a very short notice period. These carry a very high rate of interest. Consequently, personal loan lenders must be allowed a minimal time within which they complete the necessary processes. A proper management of time on the part of the loan provider can save a lot of time involved in approval. The approval time differs with lenders. It also differs with the customs prevailing in a region or place, and with the financial product opted for. The basic personal loan approval process constitutes the following steps: The individual selects the loan that will suit his purpose. There are a number of variations in personal loans and choosing one out of them will be a heady task. Though personal loans can be put equally well to all tasks, it will be better to discuss with experts if there are better financial products available. The borrower is sent an application form to be filled with the details of the borrower. Being brief but clear is generally preferred. Easy approval is facilitated if the application form gives unambiguous information. Unnecessary duplication of work is prevented and the offers searched for the borrower easily match the borrowers specifications. Application process is now completed online. The form duly filled in is submitted by clicking on the submit button on the website of the loan provider. On receiving the application, the lender gives an in-principle decision on the suitability of the candidate for a personal loan. This is just a preliminary approval and decision still needs to be made whether or not the borrower will actually get the personal loan. The in-principle decision is made within 24-48 hours of the application. Verifications and checks mentioned above are conducted after an in-principle decision. Property and asset valuation is needed when the personal loan is secured on property or certain assets. Once the reports of the verification are received in the affirmative, the personal loan must be deemed to be approved. A formal approval confirmation call is made to the borrower. Along with the solicitors, loan documents are prepared. This is then sent to the borrower to be filled in. The filled in loan documents are sent to the solicitors. This final step leads to settlement and final sanction of the personal loan. There must be willingness on the part of the borrower to accelerate the process of approval. Many of the processes can be performed more than one at a time. There are another sets of processes that have become superfluous because of the changed circumstances. The lender must identify such processes that can be removed with relative ease. A part of the responsibility for instant approval of personal loan lies with the borrower. By being clear in what they need from the personal loan, and keeping a sufficient time gap between application and approval, they can lessen the perturbations that occur when loan is not approved in time. Immunological Profile In Postpartum Women

By Preeti Kachroo Bhagat Post-delivery, the whole of immune system is restored to normalcy during puerparium. One of the extensively studied immunological markers is the assessment of CA- 125. Spitzer et al15 based on a prospective study reported that, there occurs a steep rise in CA 125 levels during first trimester of pregnancy (mean 43.1 U/mL) and the value is restored to normalcy in subsequent periods. At labor and immediately after the labor, the CA 125 levels rise steeply again (mean 39.9 u/mL) which, is restored to normalcy on day 2. While, it is difficult to interpret the clinical application with the present knowledge, it can be concluded that, puerperal period is also meant to restore immunological status of mother to pre-pregnancy levels. Besides the above, the role of chronic reactive protein during puerparium, is one of the intriguing factors. In a series of clinical studies, an elevated level of CRP was observed in full term, normal deliveries. In one of the research studies, a two fold rise in CRP was seen at the onset of labor followed by a ten fold rise on day 3. In general, the CRP levels are seen to come to pre-pregnancy levels by day 11. The CRP touches much higher levels, in case of intervened deliveries like forceps, vacuum extraction. In Caeserean sections, the rise in CRP is much more marked as result of tissue injury. The rise in CRP is hypothetically attributed to physiological response to hormonal changes. In another study, postnatal flare in polyarthritis was observed due to physiological rise in CRP levels during puerparium. Manual removal of placenta is also associated to high rise in CRP levels due to inflammatory processes involved therein.
