Using the Internet to Find Nursing Jobs Online

By Amanda Jones Using the internet to find nursing jobs online is a great way to find a job after graduating. The internet is filled with job sites, classified ads, and web sites that advertise nursing jobs in most cities and countries. When a person graduates, they can begin their search for employment from home. They can post resumes, answer ads, and perform company searches. Many companies and hospitals advertise for job openings on the internet. Corporations that are searching for on site nurses will also post advertisements on their web sites. Narrow down the search by looking for companies that have a good reputation for hiring nurses. Visit the web sites to see if they are hiring. Many times they will only post advertisements on their web sites. Visiting the same site a few times is also a good idea because new jobs are always being posted. Posting a resume on a job web site will get a person noticed. Every day companies search for prospective employees on the internet. Posting resumes is free and one of the best ways to find work. Using the internet to find nursing jobs online is also a good way to see the types of jobs that are out there. A person can search in any city they would like and also search for the types of positions they would be suited for and enjoy. For those who want to work in the hospital system, there are hospital web pages that advertise jobs, and local online newspaper sites. For those who are looking for personal care positions, there are plenty. Using the internet to find nursing jobs online in this area of nursing are limitless. People who are disabled or elderly need a nurse to come into their homes to care for them. They will advertise online in order to reach more people. These positions pay well and are a good way to gain experience. Finding personal care nursing jobs online is another way to find employment. To learn more about nursing jobs online, Amanda Jones recommends Nursing Degree Guide. Payday Loans Guide-Get Payday Loan in Financial Emergency

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Sardool_Sikandar]Sardool Sikandar Payday Loans refers to cash advance loans that are small or short- term loans and can be used to generate instant cash flow. Payday loans require photo identification and proof of income of the customer. Cash advance loans also mean the cash provided against an approved line of credit like a credit card. Borrowers have to give signed post-dated personal checks, including amount of cash and traditional fee to the lender, as a security. Then the lender represents legal documents to explain exact terms of loan, annual interest rates, late fees and other financial charges. Borrowers must sign important legal documents before receiving cash. Several financial experts dont prefer payday loans because these loans are for very short period. These are quite expensive but are the best source to arrange emergency cash. If the borrowers are unable to pay the debts at the right time then they have to pay late charges and additional interest fees. Borrowers have to follow certain terms and conditions in order to get payday loan. Sometimes payday loans can cause financial disaster due to unexpected expenses. According to financial experts, consumers should try to find alternatives instead of taking payday loans again and again. If it seems very important to take payday loan, try to borrow that amount which can be easily repaid with next paycheck. Customers should try to get payday loan in case of severe financial crisis. They should read all terms and conditions carefully before signing any contracts. Several private lending institutions offer payday loans that you can repay via wages. No Brainers: 27 Low or No-Cost Ways to Improve Your Next Tradeshow

By Susan Friedmann There are lots of ways to improve your team's performance at tradeshows. From snazzy new displays to intensive training to rewards and incentives for top producers, it's difficult to even count the myriad ways What's not difficult is to realize that some of these improvement methods come with hefty price tags.

Don't despair. There are many ways to pump up performance without breaking the bank. In fact, I've collected 27 low or no cost ways to improve your next tradeshow:

1. Research the show BEFORE you commit: Does it attract a large number of people from your target audience?

2. Give yourself enough time: Planning and preparation for a major show can take 12-18 months.

3. Involve top management in the planning process. You'll get better results from your team if they know upper management is supporting their efforts.

4. Send e-mail reminders to loyal customers and strong prospects before the show, urging them to stop by your booth.

5. Define goals and objectives for show participation.

6. Share these goals and objectives with your booth staff. They can't achieve your goals and objectives if they don't know what they are.

7. Plan for security as needed: you don't want expensive prototypes or demo models 'walking away'.

8. Brief your team on common tradeshow espionage practices and how to defend against them.

9. Send enough people to ensure adequate booth coverage throughout the show.

10. Give each booth staffer a specific role, with job expectations clearly spelled out.

11. Stress the value of friendly greetings, polite manners, and appropriate body language.

12. Take the time to familiarize your team with the lead collection technology you'll be using before the show.

13. Make sure at least some of the people going to the show are prepared to answer technical questions.

14. Send friendly, personable people with a genuine enthusiasm for your company, its products and services. These may not be your most senior people: make your choices based on effectiveness, not seniority.

15. Check in with your team throughout the show to assess performance, reward positive behaviors, and stop negative trends before they get out of hand.

16. Establish a dress code for your staffers: They'll look more professional and act as better ambassadors for your company.

17. Don't forget the shoes, hair, and accessories: people notice the details. Manicures are crucial, as your team will be shaking hands hundreds, perhaps thousands, of times during the show.

18. Two words: Breath Mints.

19. Practice asking qualifying questions with your booth staffers.

20. Product demonstrations are a great way to draw a crowd: Make sure your team knows how to give an effective, engaging presentation by having them practice before the show.

21. If you are sponsoring entertainment, a speaker, or other event, make sure your team knows what to do during this time. From working the crowd to collecting leads, there's plenty they should be doing to promote your company's name and image.

22. Designate a 'go-to' person to act as a liason with show management. The better your relationship with management is, the better your show experience will be.

23. That exhibitor's service manual the show organizers sent you when you registered? Read it: it's chock full of valuable information to help ensure a stress-free show.

24. Copy appropriate pages from the exhibitor service manual and pass them along to the relevant staffers: It doesn't help you to know when everything has to be broken down and off the show floor if you're not the person doing that work.

25. Order services ahead of time. Making deadlines = big savings.

26. Establish a follow up protocol for hot leads, promising prospects, and likely customers. Use this protocol to turn leads into sales.

27. Say Thank You to attendees for stopping by, to anyone who fills out survey information or participates in a demonstration, during your follow up calls. Written by Susan A. Bottled Water Brands

By Elizabeth Morgan Statistics reveal that more than 50% of Americans prefer to drink bottled water and that from 1988 to 1998, the sales of bottled water tripled to about 4 billion annually. Almost all the states require all bottlers and distributors of bottled water to obtain a permit from the concerned department of health and human resources in the office of environmental health services. This is to ensure that the bottled water is from an approved source, which is properly protected, is properly labeled about the source, tested for potential contaminants and inspected to verify that it is bottled in a sanitary manner. Bottling plants can be in-state bottling plants or out-of state bottling plants. In-state bottling plants are permitted to use any laboratory from the facilities provided by the department of health and human resourced. Alternatively, they can use an out of state laboratory not provided in the list only if the laboratory has been certified with the Safe Drinking Water Act Regulations for testing of water. However, the plant must submit the state or country certification number as well as the name and address of the laboratory while submitting the application. The leading brands in the market are the PepsiCo and Coca cola. Pepsi and Coke each produce a single bottled water brand in the retail premium PET segment in the industry. PepsiCos Aquafina, which is exhaustively filtered with no added minerals, is considered to be in the number one position with an increasing number of sales. Cokes Dasani, which has a mineral mix, is a close second in the market. Nestls Perrier and Danones Evian follow close to these two leading brands. Bottled water provides a safe alternative to tap water. All different bottled water brands offer unique flavors for consumers. Bottled Water provides detailed information about bottled water, bottled water brands, and more. Bottled Water is affiliated with Traditional Mediterranean Diet. 3 Proven Ways to Make an Impact When Message Control is Out of Your Hands

By Nancy E. Schwartz Now that you know (ever since you read Everybody's Talking About You...), what happens when control of your nonprofit's message passes from your organization to your audiences, you've got to do something about it. Here are three strategies that will ensure your organization works this new all-voices-have-equal-weight conversation to your advantage. Start To Scan All Venues, All the Time Your nonprofit may use a clipping service (most are based online at this point) to capture print and broadcast coverage of your organization, but how many of you are capturing all the conversation and comments on your nonprofit that happen online on websites and in blogs and message boards? Not too many, I bet. At this point, your approach to media monitoring has to go way beyond traditional media to encompass both organization to audience and peer-to-peer (think blog) content. Sometimes your media monitoring service will grab this stuff (for a price). Here's how you can automate a process to grab online coverage yourself, hot off the "press:" Set up Google or Yahoo Alerts to alert you via email to web content about your nonprofit In addition, you can use these alerts services for updates on coverage of keywords and phrases in your issue areas, and of partner and competitive organizations. The services do miss some mentions, but they pick up a huge amount of content you're not likely to see right away. P. S. I use both Alert services, since they seem to send me different content. Neither is perfect but together they're a powerful tool. Directory of Clipping Services http://dmoz.org/News/Media/Services/Media_Monitoring/ Google Alerts http://www.google.com/alerts Yahoo Alerts http://alerts.yahoo.com/ Use Technorati a search engine of blog content to check for blog coverage of your organization. Not all blog content is indexed by Google or Yahoo. Technorati is as comprehensive as it gets, at this point. Technorati http://www.technorati.com/ Check your nonprofit on Wikipedia If you haven't already searched for your organization, on the Internet's open source encyclopedia, do so today. Wikipedia allows users to research a subject and add their own information. I just researched several nonprofits, and it quickly became apparent that there's a lot of content here that didn't come from those organizations. For example, the Sierra Club entry goes into detail on the battle of a group of members to have the Club adopt immigration reduction into its mission. I'm sure that Sierra Club communications folks would like to add their point of view here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sierra_club Look up your organization, and check back frequently (once every two weeks). If there's something missing that people should know about, add it. You'll have the option of registering as a contributor which allows you to remain an anonymous poster. Wikipedia is a popular place. You can be sure that some prospective donors, volunteers, members and clients are learning about your nonprofit here. Make sure you know what they're learning. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page Use Bloglines (Or Use Another RSS Reader) to synthesize content from the blogs (and some websites) that cover your nonprofit or issues regularly. Who has time to dive into a hundred sites or blogs on a regular basis? Tools like Bloglines enable you to identify the blogs (and more and more websites) that offer downloads of new content via "blog readers." Once you identify the sources that cover your organization or field, Bloglines synthesizes all the blog posts and website content on a single web page. You can clip content (for later use) or email it to a colleague. Bloglines http://www.bloglines.com/ Build Internal Support For User-Generated Content, Listening, and Active Participation. Once you start to scan, and find what's out there on your nonprofit, you'll have some proofs of the importance of nurturing this conversation (it's going to happen anyway, so you might as well embrace it). It's likely you'll need to convince your boss or leadership why to support these conversations, and you have the data to do it. But your work goes beyond support: Make sure you and your leadership are listening to what you hear. It's all too easy to dismiss unwelcome comments as unimportant or one person's opinion. The fact is that, if those comments are online, that opinion is accessible far and wide.Focus your communications on strengthening your nonprofit's credibility. If your audiences don't trust your organization, they'll ignore what you have to say.Evolve your organizational voice to one that's warmer and more passionate, so that your audiences will develop a more genuine connection with your organization. Participate, Participate, Participate After You Develop a "Conversation Policy" You've got to participate in the online conversations that are important to show you're listening, to add your perspective and, sometimes, to set the record straight. It'll be impossible for your organization to respond to every conversation about it, and a bad use of your time. Even though it can be so difficult not to shoot back a knowledgeable response to a cutting (and uninformed) remark, you want to ensure your response achieves what you want. And you need to ensure that your responses are consistent with your nonprofit's values and mission. I suggest that you outline, and train colleagues on: What your organization will respond to:Who will respond? Many organizations have one person responding, with colleagues alerting her to online "finds."What to say, in what tone? When to step out of a conversation?Which comments and conversations to report out to colleagues?
When you take these three steps to update your nonprofit's communications agenda to fit today's all-conversation-all- the-time environment, you'll ensure that your organization is aware of what's being said about it, and participates when it makes sense. It's a no-choice change of orientation for 2007, and beyond. Nancy E. Schwartz helps nonprofits succeed through effective marketing and communications. How To Select An International Phone Card And Not Get Burnt!

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Dean_Caporella]Dean Caporella International phone cards have made life easier for travellers who like to stay in touch with family and friends while overseas. Before the phone card appeared on the scene, travellers had to endure high calling costs in fact, the cost of phone calls in many instances had to be factored into the overall holiday budget. Now, not only is it dirt cheap to phone from anywhere in the world but international phone cards have also made it possible to talk for extended periods of time "for cents in the dollar!" You, the traveller, have never had it so easy when it comes to long distance communication. However, purchasing a prepaid phone card isn't simply a matter of forking out $5, $10 or $20 and getting a card in return. There are some things you should know and the following checklist will give you a better understanding of what to look for when purchasing a card, particularly if you are new to the experience. As a seasoned phone card user, I have a list of things I want before I buy. International Phone Card Checklist 1. First and foremost, make sure the rates are affordable. After all, isn't the reason you want a phone card to cut down on calling costs. I know this sounds pretty straightforward but believe me, all phone card companies aren't created equal. Compare the different pricing structures from different carriers. 2. Be specific about connection fees. Basically, there should be no connection fees. Also, check for hidden fees. They are there in a lot of cases and can "kill" your entire phone card experience! 3. There should be no expiration date on your card. For example, if you spend $50 and get 2000 minutes of talk time but don't intend using it up in a hurry, then you should not be penalised for this. Make sure that your investment isn't governed by a due date. 4. Be aware of any hidden cost that may be associated with your card. Your initial payment should be final. 5. Check to see whether you can use your card 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I won't purchase a card unless I can get total unrestrictive access at any time of the day. 6. Is the phone card carrier contactable? In other words, if you require customer service, can you talk to a customer service representative. Believe me, this one rule will save you a lot of frustration. 7. Is the card re-chargeable? Better still, can you re-charge you card both online and over the phone. Again, you don't want to be paying a fee when you re-charge. 8. Avoid cards which charge a fee just for making a call but not a connection. In my book, that's pretty rude. It's simply a matter of protecting your consumer interest. Competition is fierce in the card communication industry and the carrier choice is extensive. International prepaid phone cards will save you money, in fact, that's what they are designed to do. When you become accustomed to using one, you'll wonder how you ever got on in life without a phone card. Dean Caporella is a professional broadcaster. Dating After 40: What's Your Definition of Dating Success?

By R.L. Morgan For many women the answer to this question would be, "To find my next love/husband/mate." I invite you to consider another possible definition. If someone were to ask you, "What is your definition of success in life?" you would probably not answer, "To find my way to death." Both definitions focus on the end result, not the process. To the second question, you would probably answer something like, "To enjoy myself, laugh, grow, love, make a difference for others and live life fully." You'd focus on enjoying the process, not on the end result. I believe the definition of successful dating needs to include appreciating the adventure. Not that all aspects of the adventure are thrilling. Think of a trip you've taken to a destination you really wanted to visit. Did you like all parts of your journey to Paris? What about the long plane ride or the taxi trip to your hotel? Most of us wouldn't consider these experiences particularly pleasurable. However, if you engage your seatmate on the plane, catch up on your sleep, and/or read an enthralling book, the journey is pleasurable. Your trip from the airport can be interesting if you notice the people and architecture and query the cab driver on favorite non-touristy sites. It depends on what you make of the experience. I once had a grand time having a picnic in a Paris laundromat while doing my wash. Consider defining dating success something along these lines: "To enjoy meeting and getting to know some interesting men, broadening myself through new experiences, feeling the thrill of new romance, being willing to encounter the broad range of emotions from delight and love to disappointment and hurt, growing as a person and becoming more centered in what I want and who I am. And when the time is right, to meet my next long-term love." With this definition, you are bound to be successful. And when you do meet your guy, you will be so enticing he won't ever want to let you go. R.L. Morgan, "The Dating Goddess," brings you her experience from the front line of dating after 40 -- having dated 73 men in 2 years after her 20-year marriage broke up. Read her insights and lessons to help you date more effectively. She's a bestselling author, Oprah guest, and speaker. How To Use Amber To Help Your Teething Baby

By Katharina Bishop Sleepless night, fever, rashes, diarrhea and screaming fits are just some of the signs that your baby is teething. Homeopathic teething tablets containing chamomile and teething gel massaged into the gums are effective remedies but they have to be applied many times over, often not without a struggle. What would you say if I told you theres an easier way? That theres a product that not only looks great but has a lasting calming effect on teething babies and toddlers? A one-off purchase that will last your baby until the final tooth pops through? If this sounds too good to be true, read on and discover the amazing secret of amber. To let babies and small children wear amber is a very old traditional custom in various parts of Europe and the Far East. Amber is known to reduce inflammation of the throat, ear and stomach. Traditionally used to fight inflammation, infections and respiratory disease, it is known to be healing, soothing and harmonizing. Amber is associated with sunlight and warmth and reputed to boost the immune system, reduce inflammation and accelerate the healing of wounds, and is thus the perfect help for babies and children who wear it when they are teething. Amber is not actually a stone and therefore not cold to the touch, as well as very comfortable and light to wear. The transparent pieces have a warm rich glow. Amber necklaces are great for babies and toddlers to soothe the pain and discomfort of teething. Specifically designed with babies in mind, they usually have amber clasps (non-allergic), and are knotted before and after every individual amber bead so that even in the extremely unlikely event of the string being torn, not a single bead is lost and there is no risk of choking. Baby amber teething necklaces are made for wearing, not for chewing. Amber exhibits pain relieving qualities when worn on the skin. The highest quality necklaces are made from genuine Baltic amber. Beware of cheap imitations. An authentic high quality baby amber necklace will cost around US$30.00. A very worthwhile investment! These necklaces also make wonderful luxury baby gifts for special events such as baby showers, christenings or birthdays. Katharina Bishop is a freelance writer. Help Unwanted

By Jay Wolf I live in a very progressive part of the world where it isn't hard to find a job... if you have the qualifications. I've learned however that it takes more than a professional portfolio, dazzling references, and a shiny appearance to make the grade in the city... it takes a fortitude of character to know what will and will not work for you. Retail has for the most part been my forte. Food service is probably not for me: I can't be trusted to cook for others, and especially not strangers. My culinary resume consists of grilled cheese and spaghetti for hte most part, not exactly the high calibre needed for the restaurants catering to the stars. I have a terrible memory and fare even worse with hand-eye coordination. I can't even make it home with two grocery bags and a pizza without incident, so waitressing is an unlikely choice, even in some of the slouchy diners in my neighborhood. I made the rather dubious decision to not attend college, so while I have the graphic design skills needed to get my foot in the door, I often lose out on entry level design jobs to candidates who, arguably, need the money slightly more than I do so that they can pay off their student loans.
This leaves, for ambiguous characters such as myself, the wonderful world of RETAIL. While I think of myself as a very nice, giving, and flexible person, I feel like I may not be suited to retail despite my best efforts to make a career of it. I was recently laid off at my first job outside the retail world, and I realize as I find myself combing Craigslist and trying to polish my resume to find something new to pay the rent, that the jobs I'm searching for are the ones that I least want to apply for. While this revelation has helped me understand why I'm so resistant to apply for jobs, it is only the first part of my search for the ideal field for me. Customer service is a sticky subject for me. While I possess what I consider to be adequate people skills, I also have been in the retail field long enough to know that neither the customer nor the manager is always right. This is forbidden knowledge, and it has invariably doomed every retail job I have held. While I start off as Employee of the Month superstar fodder, I can never really keep pace and find myself quickly losing interest, especially if I detect any weakness in the business structure. At the first sign of potential conflict or violation of my personal ethics, I quickly become mutinous and rarely feel like I can rely on former employers for a solid reference even when my departure is not hostile. I used to think that I just got unlucky with other people's management styles, but after enough resignations, unscheduling, and tongue-biting, I've come to another conclusion: Despite what managers ask for when they make a job posting, I am really just not the right candidate. Sure, I have a 'winning personality,' but try asking me that when three customers in a row ask me if we take American Express when the signs above the register, below the register, on the wall behind the register, and on the counter in front of them expressly state that we take Mastercard and Visa only. Yes, I am 'willing to learn,' but I'd really rather learn about how to do the job right than about how high the turnover rate is in your boutique. Of course I am a 'self-starter who doesn't need to be told what to do,' but if you leave me to my own devices for too long and I run out of ideas about what you'd like me to do, I'm going to get frustrated and bored, and will probably start using up your sticky notes to leave amusing and mildly inappropriate messages to your other employees. Do I think I'm "better" than menial jobs? Of course not, otherwise I would never take them. Why then is it so difficult for me to find a job setting that suits me? I don't quite know, but I suspect it has something to do with my personal integrity. I am good at making a sales pitch when I believe in what I'm selling, but as a thrifty, cheap-chic do-it-yourselfer, it's hard for me to come up with reasons to "need" boutique luxuries like designer handbags or doggie sweaters. I love to smile and I'm very personable, but I'm not good at hiding how I feel about something. I'll find something, I'm sure, but until then, I am waiting for the ad that says what they really mean: WANTED: Someone to Sell Things For My Store.
I have ridiculous expectations about you, even though I haven't met you yet. I'm not paying you enough to make you want to conform to my style of management, but I am going to demand perfection and probably contradict myself several times before you get fed up and quit. And I'll be looking for something new, that I haven't done before. That way I can hopefully get a little closer to figuring out what it is I really want to do with myself for the rest of my life. The Wedding Ceremony of a Ukraine Bride

By Peter Finch A typical Ukrainian wedding is very colorful and exciting. It is usually an intricate affair that lasts between 2 and 3 days, but there are also a number of traditions that take place before the actual wedding. These are as important to a Ukraine bride as the ceremony itself. First there is the "dohlyaduny" or the formal engagement. The groom comes to the bride's house with his friends and asks the parents of the Ukraine bride for permission to marry her. The custom is purely formal considering everything is arranged beforehand, but it dates back to ancient times when the "dohlyaduny" was an official proposal to the Ukraine bride. Her parents are the ones to decide whether or not she will marry her suitor. The length of the engagement varies from bride to bride, but it is usually at least a month and a half, and will range up to a year or more. During this time much has to be done to get ready for the ceremony. A couple makes the lists of the guests, and chooses the restaurant and considers the menu that everyone can enjoy. They also have to choose the photographer and videographer, as well as the person who makes the toast to the married couple. Choosing the church for the wedding is also an important decision. A Ukraine bride then chooses her wedding dress; usually a white color but lately, ivory and pale pink dresses have become a popular choice. There are times that a Ukraine bride wears extraordinary garments called a "vyshyvanka", a national Ukrainian embroidered shirt. An indispensable part of a Ukraine bride's dress is the bridal veil. Though in many European countries it is a matter of taste, in Ukraine it is an absolute must, and something that is taken very seriously. The groom's clothes don't have to meet any particular requirements, but he usually wears a suit and tie even though he could get married in just a shirt and pants without the tie. The wedding itself usually takes place on a Friday or Saturday. As with most American traditions, the Ukraine bride and her groom have to spend the night before separately. The groom has his bachelor or stag party, and the bride invites her friends for a "divych-vechir" or bachelorette party. The morning of the ceremony the groom goes to his fiance's house and pays what is called the "vykup" or a ransom for a bride. According to another tradition there is only one bridesmaid, and she thinks out different contests for the broom to do, and if he fails he has to pay the "vykup". Once he passes, he may see his bride. The wedding procession all goes to the civilian registry office where you register to get married, even if you have the wedding in a church. To have an actual church wedding is very important to Ukraine brides because by Orthodox beliefs, a wedding in a church means that the couple will be together in heaven, no matter whether the love lasts or not. After the ceremony is completed, the couple and their guests will have about 3 to 5 hours in which they spend taking pictures. The dinner is then held either at a restaurant, or at home, depending on the number of guests. The Ukrainian bride is the center of attention of course and people spend time trying to steal her shoes, or the bride herself. It is a tradition that brings fun and laughter to the ceremony, and the person who manages to do this can ask the bridesmaid or best man for anything he wants. The dancing and singing follows and usually lasts until dawn. The wedding continues into the next day for more fun and dancing. A good time is absolutely had by all. Getting to Know Your New Reflection

By Meloney Hall Its a fact: Overweight or Obese people DO NOT LIKE mirrors or ANYTHING that reflects back to them as to how others probably see them physically. Many heavy people go as far as removing all full-length mirrors throughout their home in the attempt to avoid seeing their reflection and finding more reasons for self-loathing. They think that removing the full reflection will ease some of the harsh self-criticism. The reflection of (say it with me) from here up (your hands below the chin to signify the bottom line) is the only thing a heavy person wants to see reflected back. This is what I did for years, and to my DEMISE at that! Had I kept a closer view on my reflection, maybe I wouldnt have let the pounds pile on as they easily did for so long. But that is my 20/20 hindsight, as they often say, right? The first thing I did after my surgery was buy a cheap $12 full-length mirror so I could keep an eye on how my body was changing. OH, let me tell you, how I cringed at the reflection I saw! I wiped tears away from my eyes as I knew that NOW I had the tool through the RNY bariatric weight loss surgery to get rid of the excess weight. But it was a hard reality to face that reflection. But as the pounds kept dropping, I began to learn to love my new reflection. Sure, I saw draping skin, lack of tone, and countless other flaws I could list to fill a New York City phonebook; but the good news was that I was losing weight and my body was shrinking! And not only did I learn to appreciate the reflection in a full-length mirror, I also learned to STOP AVOIDING reflective glass! There used to be a day when I would walk past a huge store window as fast as I could so I couldnt see myself in the glass reflection and I certainly didnt want others seeing it either! As I was losing my weight so rapidly, I got in the habit of stopping and actually looking at myself in reflective glass at the store, a restaurant, and even marble walls in offices. My husband seemed to, one day, had enough of this behavior and came right out and said to me, You are becoming too vane! As shocked as I was that he didnt understand me, I said, Im not vane I have to make sure that its really ME in there I dont know what the NEW ME looks like half the time. He then slumped in semi-shame at his remark and agreed that its even hard for him to keep up with how the new-me appears. Another reason why we dont recognize ourselves is because our shrinking wardrobe changes so often, we dont know its us in those clothes! To further prove this point of not recognizing our own reflection, I want to share the following capsule that illustrates this point perfectly. This was one experience that a friend of mine had: She says, I want to a restaurant for a big birthday celebration. Across the room, I saw a woman who looked so familiar to me. I couldnt stop staring at her, and I noticed she stared back at me a lot too. I asked my husband if he knew who the woman was across the way, but he couldnt locate who I was talking about. I grew more and more intrigued with this woman who I knew for a certainty that I knew her from somewhere. As the night progressed, I noticed that she even had some family members who looked familiar to me and THEN THE LIGHT BULB went off. I WAS LOOKING AT MYSELF IN THE REFLECTION OF THE MIRRORED WALL! Talk about embarrassed! I must have spent a good half-hour wondering who that woman was, and all along it was ME! As you continue to lose weight, your reflection will change, and youll have to look at it again and again at the risk of appearing vane to others. Like I told me husband that day he called me vane, I further explained that one day my image will remain unchanged by weight loss and I wont need to look as often since I can recognize myself. So if you havent yet done so, get a full-length mirror in your home and take a look at yourself each week. Learn to recognize every curve, bump, bulge, etc. Then as you downsize in your body, youll appreciate it more because youll know the former you better then had you not learned to look at your reflection. Seven Steps to a Happy House Move

By Sharon Hurley Hall I confess - I'm a serial house mover. I have moved house nearly 20 times in five different countries. Most of the time I've done it myself with the help of a few friends. While the process is very stressful, I've come up with a few ways to cut down on the hassle - and I'd like to share these with you. 1. Take it down (or up)
Everything you move has to go through your front door, so it makes sense to have your belongings as close to the exit as possible. Make sure you get everything down from the attic (or up from the cellar) before moving day. Anything that's there, you probably don't use every day, anyway. Put the boxes in a room you can do without for a while and stack them three or four high. Try to keep the piles relatively even, so they won't fall on you or your children. (This has happened to me before and it was a pain to have to re-stack all the boxes). 2. Clear the clutter
When you're moving things out of the loft or cellar, be ruthless and clear out anything you haven't used in the last two years. The same goes for the garage and for the garden shed. Every piece of junk you keep is one more thing to load and unload. By the end of move day, you'll wish you hadn't bothered. This is one my partner learned the hard way. The last time we moved, he insisted on moving a rickety piece of furniture which we ended up taking to the dump on move day. Take it from me, the last thing you want to do is add any extra trips to the schedule. There is one advantage of moving, though. It's a good time to lose that unwanted Christmas or birthday gift. (Remember not to look too sad when you explain what happened or you might get a replacement.) 3. Spend to save your back
When hiring a van, don't cut corners. Spend a bit more and get a van with a tail-lift. That will cut down on the backache and will be invaluable, especially for the larger furniture items. Buy or borrow a heavy duty trolley of some kind and you'll have almost all the bases covered. When booking a van, look for a company that will allow you to either pick it up the night before the move (to get a head start on the loading) or return it the day after (so you can collapse into bed at night without watching the clock). 4. Think inside the box!
Keep packing boxes small and manageable and your back will thank you. Paper boxes (you can get a few from your office) are perfect for packing books, CDs, DVDs, tapes and other small items. Confectionery boxes are also a good size for packing. Ask your local shop to save you a few. They will need to be reinforced, though. If you have a baby or toddler, you've probably bought a Pampers multi-pack box at some time. Save them - those boxes are strong and solid (and they have handles). Finally, your local bookstore may be able to supply some small book boxes. These are very strong and you can be sure that your stuff won't fall out mid-move. 5. Bubble, bubble ...
Fragile items should be wrapped very carefully. The best packing items are newsprint and bubble wrap. Beg or buy large sheets of unprinted newsprint or ends of rolls from your local printer. A dirtier (but still effective) alternative is the good old Sunday paper (the bigger, the better). There's always more stuff to be wrapped than you think. If you prefer to keep it clean, use bubble wrap - if you get really bored, you can pop a few bubbles while you pack. Mattresses are quite heavy, and you'll usually drop at least one corner during the move. (After three moves in the rain, my old pale yellow mattress was quite filthy.) I recommend that you wrap all mattresses, otherwise you'll be sleeping on dirt for years. Garbage bags and packing tape are useful for wrapping large items such as these, but even better are big dust sheets from your local hardware store. 6. Make your mark
Most people label boxes according to where they want them to go in the new house, but I recommend that you also mark where they've come from in the old house. You'll have a much better idea of where to find that elusive vase for the welcome flowers the new neighbors have brought you, because you'll know exactly where that was in the old house. Labels should be placed or written on the top and at least two sides so you won't have to lift every box to find out what's in it. Help your move-day helpers to help you by making some signs for the new house (Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2, Office etc) so they will know where each box should go. Otherwise, they'll just put stuff down anywhere and you'll struggle to find it. 7. Essential services
Get together a move day essentials box. This should have a bottle of mineral water, a couple of snack bars and a roll of toilet paper, as well as tea and coffee fixings and a kettle. Put your hammer, drill and screwdriver set as well as a few nails, screws and wall plugs in another essentials box. A couple of light bulbs may also come in handy, as will a roll of garbage bags and some large dust sheets in case it's a wet day (you don't want mud all over the new carpet, do you?) I have to be honest. Moving is still a stressful process, even for me, but I don't tend to break anything I need and can always find my belongings easily. Give these steps a try and your house move will be much less hassle. Happy moving! Sharon Hurley Hall is a freelance writer, ghostwriter and editor. Canadian Pharmacy School

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Alison_Cole] Alison Cole Pharmacists in Canada are now moving over and going beyond routine duties like sitting behind the counter, collecting drugs and counting them. In fact, the industry is now witnessing a paradigm shift and pharmacists are at the centre of this new development in that country. Canada is now grooming a new generation of pharmacists who are now even counseling patients and giving them advice on the best and cost effective drugs. This new dimension to the career of a Canadian pharmacist has been attributed to the developments in the industry as a whole and the need to adapt to new market trends. Pharmacists are now being trained to adopt a patient centric approach, which also includes taking over some of the duties, hitherto performed by doctors. Budding Canadian pharmacists are also being taught to identify, mitigate and prevent problems related to medication. While the field of pharmacy is ever changing and evolving, pharmacists are now required to be on their toes all the time and adapt to changes in all the three modes of drug sale including online, mail order and conventional methods. Pharmacy schools are now giving special training in these aspects. A pharmacist should learn to cope with the bulk of information flowing in or he could be overwhelmed just by the number of new drugs that are hitting the market every year. Special emphasis is also placed on learning about the laws and regulations that are in place in Canada and the prevalent public health policy at the provincial or national government levels. Pharmacists are also required to liaise with community support groups and with ailment related groups like the local associations like the local lung association and local diabetics association. This mandates the knowledge of public relations work not to mention possession of good communication skills. The curriculum followed by Canadian pharmacy schools has evolved well in the last few years to cover these emerging areas and to provide students with the edge needed to obtain employment after obtaining their degrees. Drug manufacturers have been roped in by many reputed pharmacy schools to aid pharmacy students in choosing their streams from a wide range of options. Pharmacists are also being guided to grow into the excellent community pharmacists who go on to become the first link in the health care system. They are expected to play a significant role in ensuring that the patients receive the best drug therapy. Pharmacists can also specialize in fields like oncology, infectious disease, psychiatry, etc. Specializations help them in playing their role in various health care teams. The industry also wants pharmacists in areas like clinical research, marketing and public relations. They are also being involved in preparing information materials related to drugs and in educating pharmacists, physicians and patients. As of now, 9 universities in Canada are having pharmacy schools. The admission requirements usually vary from one university to another. After obtaining a Bachelors degree in pharmacy, one has to pass a national board examination through the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada. After this, one can also get some practical experience through an internship program. Different provinces in Canada have put forth different requirements for becoming a licensed pharmacist. In 2002, the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) began recognizing the accreditations awarded by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) for programs leading to a baccalaureate degree in pharmacy. 12 Simple Steps to Effective Websites

By Nancy Fraser The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea
In a beautiful pea green boat,
They took some honey, and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five pound note. Edward Lear must have had some precognition about what was in store for us all with the development of the internet when he wrote this nonsensical poem. Many people do feel at sea after they launch their website and attempt to navigate the sometimes confusing channels of the internet. They wonder why their site does not get traffic and why their inbox is not filling up with emails from people clamoring to buy their products or services. It seems that the rules change as often as Oprah changes her clothes.and who could ever hope to keep up with that! Price quotes for search engine optimization are all over the map, the process seems never-ending and it appears you do need plenty of money. How is it that some people seem to have great success on the web without spending a huge amount of money? Is it unrealistic to think that you can make a living working on the web? When faced with a seemingly overwhelming challenge it helps to break things down into bite sized pieces. Effective Websites include the following: 1. Your website still needs to focus on a specific niche. 2. You still need to do keyword research and although Google does not give any weight to Meta keywords some of the other search engines still do. 3. Your site should have the main keyword used throughout and each page should be written around 5 10 keywords that are tightly focused on that pages topic. 4. Content is still King so well written, focused, content is necessary. 5. Meta titles need to include keywords. 6. Organization of content should include H1, H2 etc. and subtitles to make it easy to scan the pages. Include keywords in these Headings as well. 7. Most people on the web are looking for information so if you do not give them anything valuable or entertain them, they will be goneprobably for good. 8. Link using keywords. 9. Include a call to action and if possible a Free trial. You have to build trust before you can make a sale. 10. Check your site in various browsers (Firefox, Internet Explorer) to make sure it displays equally well in each. 11. Your personality is what attracts people to you so why would you create a generic website with all of the excitement of a flat glass of pop. Keep the content fresh so it has Fizz! 12. Most importantly have realistic expectations of what you want to achieve with your website. With all the hype on the internet about overnight success it is difficult to put your results into perspective. If you expect instant success and do not get it its easy to become demoralized and quit before you reach your goal. Some other important web marketing tips Google page rank counts! The higher your page rank number the higher you rank in search. How do you find out your page rank? Download the Google toolbar here for Internet Explorer. http://toolbar.google.com/T4/ or here for FireFox http://tools.google.com/firefox/toolbar/install.html Improve your page rank by encouraging other highly ranked sites in complementary businesses to link to yours and by developing content with a niche focus. Page rank is also affected by traffic numbers. A couple of ways you can boost traffic are pay-per-click advertising and posting articles on the web. Your web image is at least as important as your personal image. You would not go out to meet a prospective client wearing a mishmash of styles and colours but many businesses have websites with tools that dont work, tables and text that are out of alignment and old information, dated colours and confusing navigation. Those things are bad enough but when an experienced web developer looks at the code on a site they often find even if the site looks good, its not built to encourage search traffic. Be prepared like the wise owl and make the job of marketing your business as easy as possible with a website that enhances your brand image, is technically sound and purrrr your way to success. An Introduction to Podcasting and How You Can Use It In Your Small Business

By Sandra Martini According to Wikipedia, "A podcast is a multimedia file that is distributed by subscription (paid or unpaid) over the Internet using syndication feeds, for playback on mobile devices and personal computers. Like 'radio', it can mean both the content and the method of broadcast. The latter may also be termed "podcasting". The host or author of a podcast is often called a podcaster." And you thought blogs and blogging were a mouthful! Let me try to say the same thing with some English thrown in for good measure: A podcast is a multimedia file (for example, mp3 or video) that is distributed by subscription (you can sign up through an RSS feed, iTunes, or directly from someone's website) over the Internet using syndication feeds (RSS and Atom are the most popular), for playback on mobile devices (CD players, mp3 players and iPods*) and personal computers. * For those who are thoroughly confused about what mp3 players and iPods are, here is a very quick explanation: They are, by and large, the SAME THING. "iPod" is Apple's brand name for their mp3 players. Mp3 players are typically smaller than CD players so they are more easily carried (or strapped to your arm while exercising, walking, etc.) and many allow you to see video as well (television shows, music videos, the podcaster's album art, a picture of the CD cover for the artist you are listening to, etc.). Some CD players are capable of playing both CDs (typically wmv files) and mp3s -- so you can download the mp3 directly to a CD. :) I hope I didn't lose anyone. Personally, I'm a visual person. While I love listening to an audiobook on long trips, I prefer to read articles and information than to listen to them. However, given the rise in audio book summaries as well as podcasting, it would appear that I am in the minority. Our world has gotten increasingly "grab and go" and podcasting allows the customer/client to subscribe to a podcaster (read "entrepreneur") that he likes and automatically get all the latest information from that person via audio files which he can listen to in his car, take to the gym, listen to on a plane, take on a walk. . .you get the idea. As such, it makes sense for the small business owner to jump on the podcasting bandwagon. Take a look at your business and ask yourself, "How could podcasting make a difference to my clients and my business?" * trainings
* teleseminars
* "What's New" promotions
* article marketing I will start offering podcasts in January in addition to my teleclasses. I realize that it's difficult for some people to "meet" at a certain time and have decided that by offering my teleclasses as podcasts, I'll be able to reach more people on their schedule. Step by Step 'Leaf' Stepping Stones

By Delmar Germyn This is a simple to do project that will get you fantastic compliments. You will be asked to make some for me please. When you hear that you know you did it right! Getting started.. You will need your usual cement, sand and water. Or you can get a sack of redi mixed concrete for your first one. Once you see the result you will want to make more. That means that you will need to mix your own concrete. Redi-mix can get a little expensive. You will need enough 2 x 4 lumber to build a mold. That means if you want a paver that is 18 square you need enough lumber to frame it up. Make a frame with your 2 x 4s and to make it easy to get your stepping stone out I suggest you use screws to assemble it. When you want to take it off you just take out a few screws. This saves a lot of aggravation. . (A note here You should not make these any larger than 24 square. They will be very heavy! Even if you make them 2 thick it will be difficult to move them alone without a cart or wagon.) Now place your frame on a flat surface that you have covered with a sheet of plastic. Next line the inside of your mold with plastic. I use a garbage bag that I have cut so that it is a single sheet. Once you have done this find a leaf or two, depending on the size of your mold. Using your artistic instinct place the leaves in the mold. Have you got them just right? Mix and pour your concrete on top of the leaves. Wait a couple of days and unscrew the form. I turn the form over before I unscrew it so I can take the plastic off without damaging the still green concrete. You might want to leave the plastic for a couple of days. If you are like me you will want to see how it looks and will pull the plastic off as soon as the form is out of the way. Be careful! More than one stone has been spoiled this way. Let the paver sit, keeping it damp for about a week. You will be able to wash the leaf out of the concrete with a garden hose. If it does not all come out, dont worry you can get the rest later when the stone set up more. These stones look great and each one is a little different so they are truly unique.
Once you have seen how good they look you will want to go into full production. I have seen people start with a couple and finish with a complete patio done this way. Others have done driveways! They all looked terrific! Go ahead and do a test stone today. You will love it. Copyright 2005 Delmar Germyn. All rights reserved. Overseas Mortgages for UK Citizens

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Safaraz_Ali]Safaraz Ali According to recent research conducted by a leading bank in the UK, the numbers of Britons with second, holiday or retirement homes abroad is set to double. Of those who are seriously planning to buy overseas the vast majority admitted that they would require some form of property financing abroad. There are many finance and mortgage options available to those who would like to buy a new home in the sun and this article examines the most popular choices available. Firstly, the rise in UK house prices that many home owners have enjoyed means that re-mortgaging an existing home, releasing the equity that has accrued and using that money to fund an overseas home purchase is currently the number one choice for Britons. People who choose this approach contact an impartial mortgage broker for a re-mortgage and they can therefore take advantage of the fact that their credit history is easily available to the lender via credit search companies, they can then quickly get an idea of how much they can borrow and at what rate of interest and the whole transaction can be conducted swiftly and easily in English either face to face with a broker or over the phone or even by email.
The relative ease and simplicity of this option makes it so popular. Those who consider such an option have to be aware that while their mortgage is not directly secured on their home overseas, it is secured on their primary UK residence. If the borrower falls behind with payments they risk losing their UK home; furthermore they have to be able to prove how they will afford their re-mortgage. If the borrower is planning on renting out their UK home while they move overseas for example, some lenders will want to see a rental contract before they release the funds which can make it particularly tricky for those buying off plan who need to stay in their UK home while the overseas property is being built. Another option thats available is securing an international mortgage from an international lender; (Your UK based mortgage broker can usually assist with this - particularly for popular destinations such as Europe, Florida, Dubai) this mortgage will be secured on the overseas property of course and international lenders often specialise in a series of countries where they are able to handle any negotiations, paperwork, legal procedures etc., on behalf of the borrower thus making the entire purchase and finance process that much simpler. International lenders fees do tend to be quite high however and so if this is a restriction for a buyer looking at their property financing abroad options they might like to consider taking out a mortgage locally in the country in which they are buying. Using a local lender has advantages and disadvantages. On the positive side the lender can quickly assess how much the property being bought is truly worth, they can easily conduct their own surveys and searches on the land, property and developer and there will be no additional costs incurred by the borrower in transferring money abroad. On the down side interest rates aboard can be far higher than back home in the UK, lenders fees can be higher, the loan to value ratio may be more restrictive meaning a purchaser has to find a larger deposit and finally there can be language and cultural barriers and hurdles to deal with. Property financing abroad is a specialist subject because not all options that are available necessarily suit all buyers, I would recommend that anyone considering buying abroad and looking at their financial options contacts a regulated, qualified, experienced and independent mortgage broker. Sarbanes Oxley Training

By Earl Powers The Sarbanes Oxley Act is incredibly complex and affects several different parts of your corporation in different ways. In order to comply properly with it, you will probably need specific targeted training for what your CEO and CFO need to know about the Sarbanes Oxley training; what your IT department will need to do; what your Board of Directors should be reviewing; and how to oversee Sarbanes Oxley training in its entirety in your business. That's a lot of Sarbanes Oxley training. Small and large corporations both should be concerned about getting training targeted to addressing Sarbanes Oxley. With smaller companies, generalized Sarbanes Oxley training for everyone along with perhaps a specialized class or two for the IT department on SOX 404, and a class for the accounting department on how auditing and accounting procedures are affected. For larger corporations, more specialized classes may be necessary. Suggested classes for Sarbanes Oxley training All affected personnel in the executive, accounting, and IT departments, as well as key middle management, should get overview training on the Sarbanes Oxley Act. You might consider having this sort of class before starting specialized Sarbanes Oxley training, and following up at the end of all classes with a debriefing meeting for the same personnel, so that special concerns can be brought up and addressed at the same time for everyone. A course on understanding section 302 of the Sarbanes Oxley Act is a must for executive management. A good course on this section will teach you the following: What you're really certifying.
What disclosure controls and procedures are, and how they differ from internal controls.
What steps you should take immediately to implement Sarbanes Oxley.
What you should do long-term for Sarbanes Oxley.
What you should do prior to signing off on financial reports. Your IT department will need some serious training on SOX 404, the part about your internal controls over financial reporting. IT departments have proven to be critical to providing these controls, and they will need to understand what controls they should provide, what they need to change about their current IT practices, and what new software they may need to implement. Your accounting department will probably need Sarbanes Oxley training in a variety of different areas, including SOX 404 and intensive instruction on what kind of auditing procedures they need to implement. In addition, you should consider having a full review of your accounting and auditing practices by a professional trained in Sarbanes Oxley requirements who can examine your entire financial management procedures and determine what Sarbanes Oxley training your company will need in order to comply with these new laws. After Sarbanes Oxley Training As you have gathered by now, the Sarbanes Oxley Act is a very complex piece of legislation that will have a real impact on the way you do business for many years yet to come. After your initial implementation of [Sarbanes Oxley training], you should have someone in your organization taxed with keeping up with new developments, and at least consider followup training every year. The full effects of the Sarbanes Oxley Act are impossible to predict, but if you get the best Sarbanes Oxley training available right now, it should have a minimal impact on your business. Preparing for the Vision of Your Life

By Kimberly Jackson My present is my past-My future is my NOW! Although it hasn't manifested in the natural realm, I am to concentrate on it, for this is the will of God for me. I show my absolute acceptance and belief in the vision by preparing aforehand for what I see, knowing each day brings me a step closer to my future-my destiny-my now. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Meaning your future-your now has already taken place in the spirit realm and will work its way into the natural in God's appointed time. It is finished. Your future-your now originated out of heaven as God's thought for you-your purpose, His plan and will for your life. God proclaims in Jeremiah 29:11, for I know my thoughts I think toward you...the vision for your life. The psalmist David proclaims in Psalm 40:7, "In the volume of the book it is written of me. My accomplishments, events of my life, my ministry, lives I'm to impact, my itinerary, et cetera, are already planned and orchestrated by the Creator himself. Everything about you is written in the book. And God will reveal to you piece by piece the revelation of who you are-His purpose and will for your life. Knowing what's to come. I skip the thought of tomorrow to meditate on my future. That's where my focus should be. Prepare for what I see-the revelation of who I am and where God is taking me, knowing that when I wake up the next day, I'm just a step closer to it. It's staring me in the face. What you encounter in your present is actually setting you up for your future. Every trial, every obstacle, every situation and circumstance is stirring you in the path of change, of destiny. A lot of what's going on in your life is not always the act of satan. It is God's appointed way-His route for you to travel on the road to fulfilling your destiny. It's preparing you for something so awesome, so great! You must be able to discern when it's God and when it's satan. Remember, he has no more power in your life than you allow him to have. He gets more props for what he is supposed to be doing in peoples' lives than God. He does come to steal what God has revealed to you about your future. He comes to throw you off course and feed seeds of doubt in your spirit. Gird up the loins of your mind so his tactics can't interfere with your focus on the future. Keep the vision near your heart since it originates out of the heart of God on to yours. Concentrate on your future-the vision for your life. Go to bed with it. Wake up with it. O, Lord, for thy servant's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, in making known all these great things. O Lord, there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. I Chronicles 17:19, 20 I know the vision for your life is unbelievable and incredibly big and powerful. God is doing it on purpose so that men may marvel at His glory upon your life and in your ministry. He's doing it in such a way that no man can glory off the wondrous works in your life wrought by His hands. What He does show us is to prepare us-get us ready for what we see. In the meantime, stay focused and well aware that situations and circumstances will arise. They are a normal part of everyday living. God uses our trials and troubles to help strengthen and develop us for the vision. Hell is aware that your NOW is about to manifest and is working around the clock to distract you and take you off course. But you must keep your eyes on the prize. Don't look to the left. And don't look to the right.Look straight ahead because that's where God is at with your future-your destiny in His hands. If you can't see it, ask Him to show it to you. If God hasn't given you a glimpse of your future, ask Him and by all means hold on to your seat and be surprised like I was. Don't entertain the thought that you're crazy. Be rested assured that if it's hard to believe, then it's from God. If you feel like you're crazy after seeing it, then believe me, it's a vision from God. If you entertain the thought that you may be crazy then you open the door for doubt to play on your mind, whispering to you, "Yes, you've lost your mind, go ahead and admit yourself into the ward." But thank God for revealing Himself in the Word, saying that it is impossible for Him to lie. God is a God of miracles. You may question, how can you recognize it as a vision from God? First of all, He'll plant it so deep into your spirit that it won't go away and you can't say no. It'll weigh heavily on your spirit. Secondly, God does not think small. He is a big God and He thinks big. Look at creation. Creation was not a small vision and neither was the vision-assignment given to Adam and Eve. When He looks at you, He's thinking big. He may start you out small, but believe it or not, that's not your destiny. That's your training ground to prepare you for the vision He has for your life. He has to trust you in the little things before moving you into the big. Thirdly, the vision God has for your life-your purpose will make you notable. Lastly, the vision for your life will make you memorable. Generations will call you blessed. Blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told of her from the Lord. Luke 1:35 God shows you the vision for your life, so you can prepare for it. God will keep you a step ahead, and will not send you into your future unprepared. He will prepare you for that promotion, new husband, wealth, calling, or whatever He has planned for your life. He will prepare you for whatever he's revealed to you about your future-your now. Destiny awaits and will not embrace you until you're ready. So prepare yourself. Stay in the presence of God. Everything about your future is set. Be wise like the ants. The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer. Proverbs 30:25 Provides her meat in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest. Proverbs 6:8 A vision is something you must prepare for. Take notes from the ant who demonstrates wisdom. We are urged to consider her ways. The ant has no guide, meaning, she knows who she is and where she's going. She knows the change of season and makes provision ahead of time. We must prepare for the vision of our life knowing what's coming and the changes it will bring. The ant has foresight. She knows what's ahead and starts preparing her meat in the summer. I am anticipating this other chapter in my life. You, my friend have insight by revelation of God concerning the vision for your life. You know your season is coming. Therefore, be like the wise ant, prepare and plan for it. Engage yourself in those things pertaining to your future. Increase your knowledge into those things pertaining to the vision for your life by engaging in reading, or taking classes relevant to where God is taking you. Be ever so careful as to who you keep company with, your conversation, what you watch on TV, places you go and who you listen too. If your future is your now that has not yet manifested, then you need to concentrate on it. For example, if God's vision for you is wealth and He told you that you are a billionaire, then begin thinking like a billionaire. If you don't know how to think like one, then go talk to one and learn from him/her. Study them. Attend conferences, seminars, et cetera that pertains to success and money. Read about some of the biblical greats who exhibited great wealth in their life such as: King Solomon (I Kings 10:14-29), Abraham (Genesis 13:2) Isaac (Genesis 26:12-14) and Jacob (Genesis 30:43; 32:5). Read whatever will increase your knowledge in that area. If God's vision for your life is to stand in a five fold ministry office, then educate yourself on that particular office and the gifts that accompany them. Study biblical examples of gospel greats who operated in that office. My favorite is the Apostle Paul. Paul set the example of how we are to operate in the kingdom. Observe today's role models. Study to show yourself approved. Read, Read, Read. The book of Acts is a good place to start. Take ministerial classes if God leads you to do so. Kenneth Hagin, Sr. is an authoritative on ministry gifting and callings and has authored several books that would be beneficial tools of training. Stay in the presence of God in fasting and prayer so your ears will be fine tuned to the voice of God. It is His Holy Spirit who will teach, train, and equip you with everything you need to operate in your calling. If God's vision for your life is a new husband, again, educate yourself. Study marriage, family and relationships. Read books on the subject. See what God has to say about it in His word. Know that His standards and precepts hold precedence over the world's perspective in those areas. Myles Monroe is a great authority on vision preparation, marriage and relationships and has authored several books beneficial to God's vision for your life. Study Proverb 31 and the Songs of Solomon. Ladies, if you can't cook go buy a cookbook. Don't fish for a husband; God has already netted him for you. You just need to be patient and use your time of waiting to work on yourself. Conduct yourself accordingly because nine times out of ten he is watching you. And ladies, if you know who he is, be still, let him come to you and not you to him. You're out of order if you approach him. Your desire should be for a man that has an ear for the voice of God. How you can tell if he's a man that can hear from God is when he approaches you with the revelation, it will be confirming in your spirit. That's a sign unto you that he whom God has ordained to be the head actually has a relationship with God. In the meantime focus on what God called you to do. Delight yourself in Him and He will give you the desires of your heart. God will bring him to you. If God said you were going to be a successful entrepreneur. Think like one. Research the Internet on entrepreneurship topics. Attend community seminars and workshops that deal with the subject. Research your business idea. Get a magazine subscription on business and entrepreneurship. Take advantage of any classes your church or community may offer on starting your own business. Read books on successful CEOs, (e. g. Donald Trump, Bill Gates, even Oprah) most of them share their story and experiences. Attend business expos, seminars, conferences, et cetera, pertaining to business and entrepreneurship. Hopefully this will give you a good idea of what I mean by preparing yourself for the vision. Yes, another chapter in your life is about to unfold. Prepare yourselfStudyStay focusedThe closer I get to it, the harder it is to stay focused. God reminds me to concentrate on where He is taking me. Don't look to the left, or to the right. Look straight ahead because that's where God is at. To my left and right were financial struggles, irritating circumstances, health challenges, and family issues. Such things required the peace of God and trust in His word. Don't look at your present because it will throw you off. Put your trust in God. He is in control of everything that occurs in your life. Live everyday keeping in mind that nothing shall separate you from God, whether its tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, peril, or sword, you will remain steadfast in Him. Be persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come. Height, nor depth, nor any creature, shall be able to separate us from God. Keeping that in mind, you must hang in there, knowing that all the promises of God in Christ are yea and Amen. So you're irritated, frustrated and tired of waiting. You feel like just plain giving up and throwing in the towel. These are just sure signs that you're at the brink of a breakthrough. The Promise is staring you in the face. It's tapping you on the shoulder. Trade any feelings of irritation, frustration, impatience, et cetera for praise, worship, and celebration unto God. Remember that God is not a man that He should lie, nor the Son of man that He should repent. The vision for your life-your future is already set and God is not changing His mind about you. There's a time and season for everything under the sun and your season is yet to come. Trust Him and ask Him for strength to bear all that you need to bear to get there. You may be full of questions like the prophet Habbakkuk. I will give you the same response God gave him in saying that the vision is yet for an appointed time. God makes known the unknown as to prepare you. Redirect your focus into your future and be well on your way to preparing for the vision He has for your life. Knock, knock. Who's there? Destination Destination who? Destination Destiny, My Child. Be ye ready for you know neither the day, nor hour your season cometh. You may sense it, you can feel it, but you never know. However, it is written in the volume of the book of God's heart. To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. There is a divinely appointed time for you to fulfill all that God has predestined for you before you were even formed in your mother's womb. God has determined beforehand your destiny, your future, according to the good pleasure of His will to show forth His glory in you. Don't wallow in your present and neither give thought to your tomorrow. Only rejoice in it as it brings you another step closer to the vision God has for your life. Copyright 2006 Kimberly Jackson. Making Your Move with Women

By Stephen N. Winning with women is about knowing WHAT to do, and about knowing WHEN to do it. With each woman, there are certain windows of opportunity for moving the interaction to the next level. Take for instance asking a woman to come back to your place for the first time: This situation is both about having a plan for what to do and in knowing the right time to do it. Women and men are very different. Women tend to be more centered in how they are feeling. If the FEELING of the moment is right, she will be more open to ESCALATING the interaction. This is precisely when you must make the move. Once that moment has passed, the window is closed. It may open again, but do you want to take that chance? There are specific windows of opportunity that consistently arise you MUST be aware of. They often appear for a short time, and can close just as fast. Thats why it is crucial to take a step forward and escalate when you have the chance. So, what are these windows? We have observed 5: 1. Approaching her hesitate here, and she will intuitively know that you lack confidence, decreasing her chances of being attracted to you. Instead of lingering around her and mulling over whether to approach or not, decide elsewhere and then just go straight in when ready. 2. Asking for her number make this happen smoothly, and she will be impressed. Many guys make this moment uncomfortable for her. Guess how she feels when she sees your call come through on her phone? You guessed ituncomfortable. 3. Going for the kiss women dream of knowing a man who knows when to go for that first kiss. They also dream of him doing it with confidence. A confident man takes the pressure off of the woman, making her relax and open upmaking for a great kiss, and a great memory for both of you. 4. Asking her over to your place Knowing the appropriate way to invite her to your home is surprisingly very challenging for lots of men. Give her an interesting reason to come over, other than your cozy bed, then make her feel comfortable. Remember, you are showing her an intimate side of your world here, and she will hope that you will do so with sensitivity. 5. Escalating sexually Admit it, you hesitate when it comes to physical escalation dont you? Women are starved for men who understand their physical needs from the first touch, all the way to climax. Again, you must make it about her comfort, and her pleasure, or you miss the boat entirely to real romance and pleasure. The best naturals out there spot these opportunities instinctively and know when to make a move. This is there "Cutting Edge." This is why they always get the girl. Think about those times when you just know you could have made a move, but hesitated. I know that for me, times like that linger in my memory empowering me the next time I am faced with a similar situation. Only that next time, I don't hesitate. It is always better to go for it and see what happens, rather than not try and have regrets. These windows of opportunity that I'm talking about can be a deal breaker if you don't move on them. I vividly remember a girl back in college I was chatting with, when the opportunity arose for me to go in for the kiss. I hesitated that nightand it was the last chance I ever got with her. The next time I saw her, she was cold towards me. I didn't realize it at the time, but she felt rejected. She gave me a window; I passed it up and blew it for good. You risk her losing attraction and interest in you if you dont trust yourself enough to go for it. When we dont risk and make the move, the excuse is, I dont want to blow it. Ironically, this is precisely when we do blow it, by not moving with the opportunity. Which risk is REALLY worth it? Don't let this happen to you. Our work with clients is intended to give you both specific strategies for smoothly making these transitions, as well as equipping you with the proper confidence to do so powerfully. In fact, in my book How to Get a Girlfriend, I cover exactly why women NEED for us to handle these moments, and precisely HOW to do so each and every time. Go ahead and check it out. You can be reading it in five minutes. Just remember, these windows of opportunity do not arrive with a flashing sign stating GO FOR IT NOW. Instead, you have to feel them instinctually. Chances are, if you feel it, so does shedo you have what it takes to make the move? Stephen Nash Cutting Edge Image Consulting
